KV, Lamphel observes annual day

Education Minister Th Radheshyam said children should be encouraged to be a better person rather than laying down rules for them to follow.
He was speaking at the annual day function of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Lamphel.
Task of a parents does not end in admitting a child in one of the best schools.
Learning starts from home and it is the responsibility of every parents to teach their children to become good human beings, the Minister said.
"To be a good human, one must have a good mind and body.
Co-curriculum activities are the basic components of education for overall development of students," he added.
Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Karam Shyam said education system needs to be properly planned so that the issue of unemployment can be solved.
Emphasising the need to produce well-educated and cultured leaders, he encouraged the students to equip themselves with best knowledge and bring positive changes in the society.
