Dr Nara calls for uprooting corruption to bring equality

CPI Manipur State Council Secretary Dr M Nara on Saturday called upon people from all walks of life to stand together and fight against corruption and violation of women's rights so that society in Manipur could achieve equality.
Speaking at the Great October Socialist Revolution jointly organised by All Manipur Nupi Marup, Wangjing Tentha Area Committee, Tentha Development Committee and Youth for Social Change, Tentha at Tentha Multiplex Ground, Dr Nara said that in socialist countries, developmental activities have brought advancement to the people.
People need to understand the message conveyed by the October Socialist Revolution in Russia, said Nara and called on all to intensify socialist movement so as to bring equality.
Dr Nara further said that people should stand together and end corruption culture besides fighting crimes against women.
In socialist countries like Cuba, it can be seen that people live in an equal society where developmental works were given prime importance.
People are observing the October Socialist Revolution to stand united against the oppressors and all forms of exploitation, said Dr Nara.
Attending the function as Chief Guest, Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship General Secretary K Subharaju said that the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship has undertaken many developmental schemes in the field of culture.
Cultural festivals have been held in many States.
People need to bring a good society by having socialist ideology, said Subharaju.
The function was attended by former MLA Th Tomba as President.
March pasts and traditional dances were also shown as part of the function.
