Satyabhama's murder: Three accused appear before Court

Three alleged accused in the N Satya-bhama murder case have been produced before the District and Session Court Manipur East and the forensic science expert witness of the case also presented a report.
The Court fixed August 4 as the next date for hearing of the case.
According to the Public Prosecutor, the Forensic Science expert presented their statement before the Judge as a witness from the prosecution side.
She also said trial was on since March 2014 against the three alleged accused identified as Kshetrimayum Biju alias Holendro (28) s/o of Ksh Ibochou of Irilbung Thongkhong, Thoudam, Ji-ban (27) s/o (L) Thoiba of Irilbung Machahal Mayai Leikai and Toijam Thesis alias Aboi alias James (27) after charge sheet was filed by the concerned police station to the Court.

She further said that till today 17 witnesses from the side of prosecution have giv-en their statements.
Altoge- ther 41 prosecution witnesses will be produced before the Court, she said.
It may be mentioned that Ningombam Satyabhama, Junior Research Fellow at Pathology Department, RIMS was found brutally murdered with bruise marks on her body and neck in a canal at Wangkhei Loumanbi Loukol under Irilbung Police station, Imphal East on April 5 last year a couple of days after she left her Kakwa residence.
All the three alleged accused are presently lodged at Sajiwa Central Jail since last year after they were arrested by the police few days some days after the dead body of N Satyabhama was found at Wangkhei Loumanbi Loukol.
