Govt keen to develop state's human resource: CM Ibobi

Imphal, February 10 2015:
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi on Tuesday inaugurated the newly constructed indoor stadium, swimming pool and working women's hostel of S Kula Women's College located at Nambol in Bishnupur district.
Speaking at the function, Chief Minister Ibobi said that the youths are the future pillars of society.
The State Government is committed to improve the education system and develop the state's human resource.
Ibobi lauded the authorities of S Kula Women's College for their painstaking effort to develop good infrastructures for the students.
Chief Minister also assured to render all possible support and assistance for improvement of government-aided colleges in the State.
Education Minister Moirangthem Okendro, who also attended the inauguration function, said that the Government is keen to improve higher education system in the State with the implementation of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).
The State Government is also planning to set up a university for providing more postgraduate courses to the fresh graduates, Okendro added.
Chief Minister Ibobi also released the annual report of the college along with a journal of social science.
Chairman of the Governing Body of S Kula Women's College Ng Naba and its founder member S Mema also attended the inauguration function.
It may be mentioned that the indoor stadium, swimming pool and working women's hostel of S Kula Women's College have been constructed with financial assistance from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Union Ministry of Women and Child Development.
