Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the protest demonstration, Ph Gunachandra, President of Manipur State Shumang Leela Council, said that the sit-in-protest demonstration being carried out in the State to demand arrest of Livingstone would continue till January 7 .
If the State Government fails to arrest and give befitting punishment to Livingstone for his misdeeds by January 8, all sorts of intense agitations would be launched.
He further stated that their ongoing agitation is not against any community or group of people but only pressuring the State Government to arrest Livingstone and demolish all the designated camps of NSCN-IM in Manipur.
As such, all the communities in the State should lend a helping hand in the agitation.
He contended that the incidents of Chandel and Napetpalli would never have occurred if the security forces had done their duties efficiently.
"The security forces present during the musical concert in Chandel head quarters stood silent when the incident occurred, so did the police personnel at Nepetpalli by refusing to provide security to the tribal boys and girls when they come for help", Gunachandra asserted.
