KVIB VC assures 6th pay scale

Khadi and Village Industries Board Vice Chairman Sagolsem Achouba has assured that employees of the Board would be given salaries on the scale recommended by the 6th Pay Commission.
S Achouba handed leave salary amounting to Rs 1,32,300 in the form of a cheque to Th Bilashini of Singjamei Thongam Leikai Top Leirak who retired from KVIB without getting her leave salary on account of sick financial condition of the Board.
The cheque was handed over to Bilashini in presence of board member Bidyapati Senjam, CEO L Biren and account officer E Ibochou.
Out of eight employees who should be given leave salaries, two, counting Bilashini, have been given their due leave salaries.
Leave salaries for the other six employees would be given shortly.
Speaking to media persons after handing over the cheque, Vice Chairman S Achouba claimed that Chief Minister O Ibobi has given concrete assurance to adopt recommendations of the 6th Pay Commission for employees of KVIB too even though they were denied the same benefits earlier due to financial constraints.
Due leave salaries are being at the initiative of Commerce and Industries Minister Govindas Konthoujam.
Problems usually faced by banks and beneficiaries of Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) because of not depositing margin in advance would not encountered this time as North East Khadi Village Commission Deputy CEO KK Gupta has given consent to deposit margin money in banks in advance, Achouba said.
For delivering her leave salary amount in time for medical treatment, Bilashini conveyed gratitude to the KVIB officials.
