After listening to the BRO's power point presentation, the Governor issued strict instructions to complete the highway development work as far as possible.
Notably, since taking over as the Governor of Manipur, VK Duggal has reviewed the State's power and water supply situation as well as the progress of the railway project.
On the other hand, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways earlier decided to relieve BRO off the responsibility of developing and maintaining Imphal-Jiribam highway but the same decision has been kept on hold at the intervention of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
