AMSU criticises arrest of critics to the govt

All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) while appreciating the good work of the Chief Minister N, Biren Singh led government had appealed the government not to suppress the voice of the people.
In a statement the student's body questioned the intention of the government over its excess to any critics to the activities of the government.
It said the government is giving no respect to the Right to freedom of Speech.
Those arrested for criticising the system is strongly condemn by AMSU, the statement said.
The statement further added the viral video uploaded by some Non local threatening the people of the state is a serious issue, AMSU considered such a video as a direct challenge to the government.
The AMSU also question on why those involved in the video are still not arrested.
In democratic institution positive criticism by the CSOs and opposition political party is a much for check and balance of power, the statement said.
It also added that police publicise report as if they have arrested those involved in the hate video but the reality turn out to be different.
The AMSU appeal the government to run the government without any biasness and with sincerity and commitment.
