Imphal, May 27 2012:
"Outside the North Eastern region, people did not speak well about the seven sister States but when I reached here everything I heard about the region turned out false.
I feel quite comfortable here", said Thomas Chacko who is touring the country in a Tata Nano car.
63 years old Thomas Chacko left Mumbai on May 3 on a tour of the whole country.
He reached Imphal from Kohima this morning.
His tour is being sponsored by Tata Company.
Besides being a secretary in the company, Thomas Chacko is also a writer.
"Compared to Arunachal Pradesh, roads of Manipur are far better", he said while talking to media persons at Classic Hotel.

Saying that it may take him 75 to 80 days to tour the whole country, Thomas said that Mizoram and Tripura are his next destinations.
He said that he would try to cover the whole North East region before the onset of rainy season.
Thomas had already visited Bhutan ins his Nano car and he is planning to visit Kargil in the same car.
