Imphal, November 26 2011:
For the general public of Manipur who have been suffering from the chronic problem of highway blockade since many years back, the ongoing Manipur Sangai Tourism Festival has turned out to be the much needed succour.
People who have been perpetually overburdened by bandhs, blockades and strikes can be seen enjoying meals at different food stalls of the festival.
A large number of youths who have little time for recreation were also seen having a good time.
One unfailing crowd puller of the festival is the traditional dances of different ethnic groups being performed every evening.
After cultural troupes from Churachandpur district presented their performances at BOAT yesterday, cultural troupes from Chandel district performed at the same venue today.
These cultural troupes did not come alone.
They came together with a large number of people from their respective districts who desired to visit the festival.
The daily events of festival are being uploaded on the website of Manipur Sangai Festival by IT firms which are participating in the festival.
