FEGOCTA lines up series of agitations

Imphal, September 23 2019:
Anguished by the Government's inaction on their ultimatum to initiate necessary procedures for implementation of the 7th UGC Pay and Regulations, 2018 by September 23, the Federation of Government College Teachers Association (FEGOCTA) has decided to launch various modes of agitation.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, FEGOCTA general secretary Dr N Somorendro informed that the association's executive committee has decided to launch certain agitation as no positive response has been received from the Government till date.

As decided at the executive committee meeting, college teachers would take mass casual leave on September 24 and 25.This would be followed by a sit-in-protest at Keishampat Leimajam Leikei from 10 am to 2 pm.
Protest demonstrations would be staged at all Government colleges on September 27 and 28.If the State Government still fails to take up any positive step even after this series of agitation, college teachers would launch cease work strike from October 3, Dr Somorendro said.
