Khurpui-Lam Organisation, Manipur (KOM) has expressed dissatisfaction over CMO's repeated denial to the organisation's request for an appointment with Chief Minister Okram Ibobi.
Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club, KOM secretary Serto Tondana Kom said that in a noble effort to invite the Chief Minister to the State level Khurpui-Lam festival, the organisation had submitted applications on seven different occasions from 2013 seeking an appointment with the Chief Minister.
However, they have not received any response till date, he said.
The organisation celebrates Khurpui-Lam festival of Kom community at the State level every year.
As such, the organisation wants to invite the Chief Minister to the festival.
However, they are yet to get an appointment to meet the Chief Minister till date, he said.

He also asked whether an organisation or community must show its strength by imposing bandh or general strike first to meet the Chief Minister.
Hill Area Committee Chairman Dr Chaltonlien Amo, Henglep AC MLA T Manga Vaiphei, former Minister TN Haokip, Jamthong Haokip and Thanga AC MLA T Mangibabu had attended the State level Khurpui-Lam festival in the past.
