Imphal, December 18 2019:
Normal fuel distribution will start from tomorrow, said CAF & PD Minister Karam Shyam today.
Briefing the media at the press conference hall of his office, Karam Shyam said that 25 petrol trucks, 42 diesel trucks, 3 SK oil trucks, 53 Bullet TTS and 5 trucks carrying petrol-diesel mixture have arrived today.
The State now has 'manageable' fuel stock, he added.
He said that the Government had rationalized the fuel (particularly diesel and petrol) distribution to the consumers for about 3 days as a corrective measure to check monopolization of the fuel by the proprietors, businessmen and other agents arising as an outcome to the chaotic situation in Assam over the amended Citizenship Act.

The petrol storage capacity at Malom Oil Depot is about 5592 kilolitres while that of HS diesel is around 10,980 kilolitres.
The Minister mentioned that petrol-diesel transportation is more convenient via the Jiri route than the Dimapur route as Dimapur National Highway is at present under widening process.
He also noted the inconveniences faced by the public due to fuel rationalization.
