Intending BJP candidates stage car rally at Keirao AC

With a view to bolster BJP in the State and ensure success of BJP candidate in Keirao AC, a mass car rally was organized in and around the Keirao AC today.
The rally was organized by Social Development Committee, Keirao Kendra Eastern Side in collaboration with BJP Manipur Pradesh.
Prof S Tiken of BJP Manipur Pradesh and Salam Hemba, convenor of Social Development Committee, Keirao Kendra Eastern Side flagged off the rally from Langdum High School at about 9 am today.
The rally covered Keirao, Wangkhem, Laipharok Maring, Sandang Senba Maring, Lemba Khul, Tamaram, Kapur Sungba village, Thiyam Konjil, Chanam Sandrok, Khanarok and other villages.

Salam Hemba said that Keirao Assembly Constituency is lagging behind in all development sectors with the local MLA and the Congress Government not paying any attention to people’s grievances and developmental issues of the Assembly segment.
Local clubs/village authorities of both hill and valley of the eastern side of Keirao AC have formed an apex body to monitor development works in the constituency.
The committee and the 11, 000 voters of the eastern portion of the Assembly segment have decided to support BJP candidate, he said.
Currently, four intending candidates namely Salam Lala, Thongram Gope, Thongram Tony and Ningthoujam Itomba Meetei are in the fray for BJP ticket.
“We will support the candidate who gets BJP ticket and strive for his win”, Hemba said.
Intending candidate Ningthoujam Itomba said that the four candidates vying for BJP ticket have also agreed to support the candidate who gets the ticket as decided by the BJP high command.
He also appealed to the BJP leadership to issue the ticket to one of them as the eastern portion they are representing has the highest vote bank and potential to defeat Congress rival candidate.
Meanwhile, ahead of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly election , BJP Manipur Pradesh took out a mass rally at Lilong.
The mass rally organised by BJP Lilong Mandal was flagged off from Lilong Ushoipokpi and it headed towards Lilong Keithel.
Among others, MLA Kh Joykishan took part in the rally.
