JNIMS clarifies

Services of Prof L Deben and Prof M Angouba were regu-larised by the Governing Council of JNIMS as they fulfilled the criteria laid down by Medical Council of India (MCI), Professor of Pathology Department, Y Mohen said.
Speaking to reporters at the conference hall of JNIMS administrative block today, Prof Mohen said that they were regularised as per the resolution number 10 of the 21st Governing Council meeting of JNIMS Society held on February 15, 2015 .
The General Council discussed the need to regularise not only the four Professors who joined JNIMS through a regular DPC but also all the Professors who were below 65 years but appointed through a Search Committee, he said.
Although many Professors whose age were above 65 years were not regularised, the two Professors were regularised as they fulfilled the criteria laid down by MCI, he said.
Stating that there was no irregularity in any respect in the service regularization of Prof Deben and Prof Angouba, Prof Mohen urged the concerned to revoke the decision to impose bandh on the issue.
Meanwhile, doctors, nurses and staff of the medical institute distributed sweetmeats to around 550 patients in their effort to enhance relation with patients.
JNIMS Director Prof L Deben and Prof Y Mohen of Pathology Department also took part in the institute's drive.
