Some of the common banners which were put at the protest sites demand implementation of National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Manipur, punishment of Kuki militants who violated the groundrules of the Suspension of Operation (SoO) pact, protection pf State's unity and prevention of intrusion of illegal immigrants.

At Wangkhei Palace Compound, Konung Leikai Youth Development Club president Moirangthem Ibopishak urged the Government to protect Meetei villages from the 'onslaught' of Kuki militant groups.
Claiming that many houses belonging to Meetei families have been torched and vandalised by cadres of Kuki militant groups armed with sophisticated weapons, he urged the Government to keep these cadres at their designated camps.
Ibopishak farther urged the Government to implement NRC in Manipur so as to identify the foreigners living in Manipur illegally and deport them to their native countries.
The sit-in at Sega Road Thouda Bhabok Leikai was organised by Apunba Nupi Marup (ANM) and Chaokhat Thourang Kanglup (CTK).
Advisor to ANM Sarungbam Bimolakumari told the media that the Kuki militant groups are allegedly attacking Meetei civilians deliberately.
She then urged the Government to control the armed Kuki groups.
"Let the Central security forces work properly and take actions against those who obstruct the movement of good laden trucks long Imphal-Dimapur road," she added.
