Imphal, April 16 2019:
Launching one last scathing attack on rival Congress before the election campaign period expired today, BJP termed the rival party as a refuge of bail-outs who are involved in corruption cases.
Addressing an election rally held today at Moirang Hanuba community hall under the aegis of BJP Patsoi Mandal, BJP Manipur Pradesh Election Campaign Committee co-chairman Th Biswajit rejected AICC president Rahul Gandhi's assertion that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a chowkidar who has been looting the country.
He said both Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi are currently out on bail in connection with the National Herald case.

Likewise, ex-Chief Minister O Ibobi is also out on bail for his involvement in the MDS scam and he may land in jail any time, Biswajit said.
While demonetisation brought out huge amounts of black money, introduction of GST led to sharp rise in the Government's revenue.
Out of this huge revenue earned through demonetisation and GST, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 130 schemes for the welfare of the country's poor and underprivileged, he said.
Saying that Congress party has been misinterpreting CAB, Biswajit said that CAB would not do any harm to Manipur.
People need not fear CAB as BJP's election manifesto promises to protect identity, culture and language of the people of North East, he said.
Even though Congress party has been vilifying BJP for its promise to enact CAB, their manifesto promises to pass the Law on Asylum which is far more dangerous, Biswajit said.
If Congress party is elected to power and the Law on Asylum is passed, thousands of Rohingya refugees would be allowed to live in the country, he claimed.
He then appealed to all the electors to vote for BJP candidate Dr RK Ranjan.
Speaking at the same gathering, Chief Minister N Biren appealed to all the people to vote for the political party which can bring visible changes in the State.
Expressing surprise over a complaint that tap water is not available at Moirang Hanuba, he said that Moirang Hanuba is not far away from the State capital.
"We have been suffering a lot because we voted for those people who are only good at rhetoric and shedding crocodile's tears", Biren said.
Turning to the CPI candidate, Biren asked if he did anything for the State when he served as a Minister and an MLA.
Asking if any one can point out any accomplishment of the CPI candidate, Biren said that impressive speeches would not work in this election.
The Chief Minister said that politics is neither drama nor cinema.
He also expressed desire for the people to analyse the State's situation before and after the BJP-led Government was sworn in.
BJP candidate Dr RK Ranjan appealed to the voters of Imphal city and surrounding areas to come out in large numbers on the polling day and vote for BJP.
