CM, others greet on Eid

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi today greeted the people on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
In his message, the Chief Minister said Eid-Ul-Fitr marks the culmination of Ramzan, the holy month of fasting.
The festival highlights the spirit of sacrifice and the joy of sharing and reflects the true spirit of the State's composite culture.
The Chief Minister wished that the ideals that mark the celebration enrich the lives of the people with peace, prosperity and harmony.
He also expressed hope that the festival will unite the people in the spirit of humanity.
At the same time, Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Th Lokeshwar Singh has extended greetings and good wishes on the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra (Kang) and Id-ul-Fitr.
Extending Rath Yatra greeting, Assembly Speaker Th Lokeshwar wished that the visiting deities bestow peace, harmony and prosperity to the people of the State.
He also wished that the spirit of purity of the Muslims be all pervasive in the minds of the people of Manipur on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.
Rajya Sabha Member Haji Abdul Salam also extended warm greetings to the people on the occasion and urged the people to celebrate the joyous occasion by spreading the message of peace, harmony and goodwill.
Major General Shashank Shekhar Mishra, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Red Shield Division, has extended his greetings to the people on the occasion of Rath Yatra and Eid-Ul-Fitr.
The GOC, in his greeting, expressed hope that the festivals will bring all the communities closer and bring peace, harmony and progress.
Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress president MLA Th Shyamkumar, Bharatiya Janata Party, Manipur Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Janata Dal Manipur State, Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA), Manipur State Minorities Commission Chairperson Dr Syed Burhan-uddin, All Manipur Muslims (Meitei Pangal) Welfare Association (AMPWA) and Lilong Block Congress Committee also wished the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr and Rath Yatra.
