Kpi NHM staff endorse AMNEWA stir

Contractual staff and employees of National Health Mission in Kangpokpi District endorsed the statewide stir of All Manipur National Health Mission Employees Welfare Association (AMNEWA) by donning black badges while working in their respective workplaces in the district.
The contractual staff and employees of the National Health Mission in the State had begun its stir since July 1 reportedly after the State Government and authorities concerned failed to give a positive response on the issue of regularization of contractual staff of the National Health Mission (NHM) Manipur.
There are more than 120 contractual staff and employees of National Health Mission in Kangpokpi district out of the more than 2,300 staff posted at all the health centres in the State.
The contractual staffs and employees of NHM in Kangpokpi district were seen donning black badge while discharging their duties at their respective workplaces, such as CMO Kangpokpi office, District Hospital, Kangpokpi, quarantine centres, sample collection centres, common control room at the screening points etc.
They also displayed placards which read, "A clear human resource policy, salary rationalization, pay anomalies, no further recruitment without HR policy, regularization of NHM staffs, release of increment on time" .
The protesting contractual staff also said that they would further endorse the move of AMNEWA in its proposed cease work strike from July 8, if the State Government and concerned authorities fail to assure service regularization as demanded by AMNEWA.
