PIL on shortage of water at Churachandpur

Imphal, June 02 2019:
Social researcher Serto Tondana Kom appeals the people to not be a mute spectator but to raise their voice for their rights.
Speaking in Press meet held today at Manipur Press Club he said that though Churachandpur district has been the highest habitations covered water supply in the state which is around 51% .
However, the said district has been facing acute shortage of tap water for many years.
He said that a PIL was filed against the shortage of water as a violation of Right to live and Manipur Human Rights Commission has registered a case under section 12 of Protection of human Rights Act, 1993 .
