Royal Riders set to host NE Riders Meet

The 6th North East Riders Meet 2014 will be hosted by the Royal Riders Manipur (RRM) at South Lousing near Chingnungkhok, Imphal East district from November 5 to 7 .
Showing the preparations at the venue to some media persons today, RRM president RK Manisana said that the annual gathering of the North East Alliance of Riders would be hosted by the RRM this year.
This year's theme of the conference is 'Asian Highway I, the journey begins...' .
The exclusive gathering of fans and riders of Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles would be attended by not only Enfield riders from the North East region but also from other parts of India and abroad.
So far, 221 riders from outside the State have registered online for participation.
Moreover, 160 local riders have also registered themselves for the annual gathering.
Around 500 riders are expected to attend the conference, Manisana said.

The conference would be opened with cultural dance and music items of Manipur.
The second day would feature presentation of gifts/assistance by RRM to aged, disabled and underprivileged people.
There would be a DJ Night the same evening.
Moreover, the participants would tour Kangla, Ima Keithel, Moirang and other heritage sites.
Fun games, off-track riding, arm wrestling and tug-of-war are the main programmes of the third day.
The annual conference will wind up with a rock concert.
RRM would screen latest Manipuri films as a part of the conference for the people of Chingnungkhok and Chana on November 6 and 7 evenings.
The venue for the 7th North East Riders Meet would also be announced at the end of the conference.
There is a special package for riding Royal Enfield Bullets up to Myanmar after the conference.
However, RRM would not be in a position to carry out field publicity for this year's Manipur Sangai Festival, Manisana said while appealing to one and all to refrain from calling any bandh or blockade in the coming days.
Chana Meira Paibi Lup advisor Chana Lembi who was also present at the press meet assured all possible assistance and cooperation so that no untoward incident takes place in the course of the event.
Riders coming from outside Manipur would be accorded warm welcome by presenting traditional gifts, she said.
