Awareness campaign for teens held in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, August 29 2015 :
A one-day Teens Awareness Campaign on Substance Abuse and its implications was held here at the Auditorium of Christian Grammar English School Tamenglong, under the theme 'Live' .
The campaign was jointly organized by Evangelical Union (EU), Evangelistic Graduate Fellowship Tamenglong (EGF) and Reflection Tamenglong where Dr Chambo Gonmei, Chief Medical Officer Tamenglong graced the campaign as the main resource person.
The joint team has planned to visit schools, churches and young people's organizations and institutions as per the demand and invitation, said Jaojianlung Riamei, Secretary Reflection Tamenglong and also Evan gelistic Graduate Fellowship Tamenglong.
While encouraging all the participants to stay away from substance abuse, Dr Chambo Gonmei, Chief Medical Officer Tamenglong said "You are the agents of change, agents to change society and nation.
You need good health to change your individual life, family, society and nation.
Therefore do not take drugs for granted.
So let us all lead a better life".
He also talked about health for all and consequences of substance abuse.
Dr Chambo Gonmei announced that a clinic for adolescence has been opened at OPD Tamenglong on every Friday from 2 pm.
He said any problem related to health could hold consultation with a doctor.
Ms Anima T Panmei, Coordinator, Evangelical Union shared the Gospel message to the participants while Philemon Panmei, Principal Christian Grammar School Tamenglong expressed sincere gratitude to the organizers.
