Eschew violence, says MP Thangso Baite

Attending the 19th foundation day celebration of Emmanuel Higher Secondary Education at Haipi, Sadar Hills Outer Manipur LS MP Thangso Baite today urged all concerned to shun violence and to struggle for peace and development through education.
Talking about the urgent need to usher in quality education in the State, MP Thangso Baite further stated that education is the panacea for all social evils which is a must for a developed society.
He also praised the contributions of Emmanuel School in moulding future leaders of the society.
MLA Nemcha Kipgen also stressed the importance of education for the overall development of an individual and the society.
Awards sponsored by the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school were distributed to students who excelled in various fields during the academic session 2014 while some teaching staff were also awarded in recognition of their efforts for the betterment of the school and the students as well.
The function was also attended amongst others by Hatkhoneng Baite, wife of MP Thangso Baite; Thangkam Misao, MDC; Khaimang Chongloi, general secretary, Kuki Inpi Manipur; Thangjakhup, special contractor; Dr K Kipgen, founder EMHHS and TK Siema, chairman EMHHS apart from chiefs, parents/guardians.
Presentation of cultural dances and songs by student troupes and prominent Kuki Gospel artists marked the occasion.
