1st AKSO conference held

Imphal, February 21 2015 : The 1st General Conference of All Kadi Students' Organization (AKSO) under the theme "United We Excel" was held from January 27 to January 30 at Kadi-I village under Tamei Sub-Division, Tamenglong District, Manipur.

N.Widonbou, K.Maikhanping and Ashokbou Chawang attended as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and President respectively in the inaugural function.

Apart from Miss AKSO competition, Talent Hunts, Quiz, Debate, Extempore Speech, Essay Competition, Solo and Group Cultural Dance Competition were held during the conference.

.NEster, class-XII student of Don Bosco School, Sanapati was Crowned Miss AKSO 2015 while P.Manaiwiliu, a B.A 5th Semester student of DM College of Arts and Kadou-wiliu, a Class X Student from Chandel won the 1st and 2nd Runners Up titles.

Liankebou Pamei, former President of Kuilong Area Students' Union and P.Namkiangbou, social worker attended as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour on the closing day.

Speaking on the occasion, Liangkebou Pamei appealed the students to seek quality education so that every student could stand on their own feet to build a stronger and better society.

He also urged the people to be united so as to strive for future prosperity.

Joney Newmai, General Secretary, All Kadi Students' Union Organisation wished all the students appearing Class-XII and Class-X examinations success and appealed the general public not to impose and kind of bandh or strikes during the examinations for the larger interest of the people.

The conference was attended by dignitaries from surrounding areas with many students from across the State.
