Imphal, November 20 2018:
General secretary (Adm) of BJP Manipur State unit, K Saratkumar, has been appointed as the Vice-Chairman of Manipur Food Industries Corporation Limited under Textile, Commerce & Industries Department.
Speaking to media persons at BJP State unit office at Canchipur today, Saratkumar expressed gratitude to BJP North East in-charge Ram Madhav, Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Textile, Commerce & Industries Minister Th Biswajit and assured to do his best so as not to violate the faith the party as well as the Government has in him.
On the other hand, claiming that he has come across reports of the Opposition Congress party spreading false information against the BJP party in connection with demonetisation as well some people quitting from the BJP, Saratkumar alleged that the people who quit BJP and joined Congress are nobodies.
The Congress also did not receive the said individuals in the interest of the people as well, he added.
The Congress party does not care for the people and is responsible for causing chaos and suffering to the people.
This fact is proved by many MLAs, who won through the Congress ticket but later joined the BJP, he claimed.
Saratkumar then demanded the Opposition party to argue on developmental issues and reasoned that it is up to the people to decide how much Manipur has changed for the better in the past one and a half years.
The people cannot be swayed by the lies of the Congress, he added.
Accusing the past Congress Government of failing to act for the people, Saratkumar said that during the time of the Congress Government, some of the party MLAs even were not allowed to meet the then CM.
So how can such a party think or act for the people, he questioned.
Saratkumar then continued that all should laud the BJP Government for ensuring better relations between the hills and the valley.
On THe other, he clarified that AR Khan was expelled from BJP in February last year, as contrary to his (AR Khan) claim that he quit BJP to join Congress.
