FCI truck driver killed in road mishap

Kangpokpi, August 13 2014 :
One FCI truck driver died while three other persons sustained minor injury in an unfortunate road accident near Kangpokpi on Tuesday.
The accident occurred at around 2:30 pm at a spot in between Kangpokpi and Changoubung when a Bolero Jeep bearing Regd.
No.MN07L/5432 heading towards Senapati collided with one FCI truck bearing Regd.No.CG07C/5575, which was heading towards Imphal.
According to source, the ill feted truck was fully loaded with FCI rice and was one of the many trucks escorted by CRPF.
The truck felt down into a small gorge when it collided with the Bolero and the driver of the truck sustained severe injuries.
Personnel of Kangpokpi police brought the injured driver at CHC, Kangpokpi where he succumbed, according to police source.
The deceased driver is suspected to be a Muslim.
He is around 5 feet 4 inch tall and wore formal dark blue pant and sky grey vest.
He has a moustache.
The other three Bolero occupants who sustained minor injuries were given first aid at CHC, Kangpokpi and discharged.
In the meantime, Kangpokpi Youth Union and personnel of Kangpokpi police have taken into custody of the ill feted vehicle.
