Assistant Professors, Senior Residents and Associate Professors (APSRA) Committee JNIMS, has threatened to launch a mass casual leave on August 2 followed by an indefinite cease work strike from August 3 if its demand are not fulfilled by JNIMS authority at the earliest.
A press release issued by the general secretary of APSRA saiod it has been demanding time scale promotion of all Senior Residents to Asst Professors, Asst Professors to Associate Professors, Associate Professors to Professors, promotion of 50 percent of the sanctioned post of the regular SRs as in RIMS time scale promotion, absorption of non-regular SRs on tenure/deputation to various Departments as regular employees of JNIMS, provision for teachers quota in PG seats in their respective Departments for regular SRs/tutors/demonstrators/casualty medical officers/lady medical officers, provisions of pay scale of Asst Professor (AP) to the newly promoted APs from SRs/tutors/demonstrator/lady medical officers and provision of old pension scheme to doctors of MHS in JNIMS who joined before 2005.It conveyed that despite repeated verbal and written assurances from JNIMS authority, none of the demands have been fulfilled till date which has led to frustration among the JNIMS doctors.
Condemning the indifference of JNIMS authority, the committee announced that it has resolved to launch a mass casual leave protest on August 2 followed by an indefinite cease work strike from the next day, August 3, until its demands are fulfilled.
However, it informed that exam duty, in patient care and emergency services will be exempted from the indefinite ceasework strike.
