Nagaland Governor says 'Tingkao Ragwang Chapriak' is a vibrant faith

Nagaland Governor PB Acharya has stated that it was a great pleasure to be in the "Tingkao Ragwang Chapriak Phom (TRCP), Assam, Manipur and Nagaland" Chingmeirong here on April 27 evening.
In a message released from the Raj Bhavan, Kohima, PB Acharya, who is also the Governor of Assam and Tripura (additional charge), added that the primordial religion of the Zeliangrong people known as Tingkao Ragwang Chapriak is a very old and vibrant form of religion like the "Sanatan Dharma" meaning an ancient and eternal religion.
"The soul, the eternal life force is the God" and its existence is the manifestation of life, Acharya said in the message.
"I'm grateful to the president of TRCP, Meisonnglung Pamei, prof Gangmumei Kamei, Chaoba Kamson, Henry Poute, D Kathuna, Kasim Ruiva and all the members of TRCP for having been shown a warm welcome reception in traditional way," he said.
"On the same day, I have visited the temple of Ima Khunthokhanbi and have the great pleasure to participate in the Lai Haraoba festival of the sylvan deity," the message said.
It said the vibrant festival associated with dancing and chanting of the evolution of nature and formation of human is a joyous experience.
"It's my great belief that preserving this kind of vibrant festival and religious realm will bring a calm and peaceful atmosphere in Manipur called by the Japanese as "A flower on the lofty mountain," Acharya stated.
NNN clarifies
Nagaland Governor's helicopter was not forced to make an emergency landing in Imphal on April 27, the Nagaland Government clarified.
In connection with the news item appearing in a section of local and regional newspapers, the Deputy Secretary to Governor of Nagaland on Tuesday clarified that the Nagaland State helicopter carrying P B Acharya, Governor of Nagaland, Assam and Tripura had a normal and smooth landing at Imphal airport as per the scheduled and pre- planned programme without any hitch.
The Deputy Secretary to the Governor of Nagaland said that there was no question of emergency landing as reported.
"The officers from State Government of Manipur received the Governor and the entourage who then proceeded to Raj Bhavan, Imphal for stay as per the scheduled plan.
The helicopter was flown back to Dimapur immediately after dropping the Governor at Imphal," he added.
