North East and Southern Writers' Meet from Mar 30

Imphal, March 28 2018:
Sahitya Akademi is organising a two-day Northeast and Southern Writers' Meet from March 30 at Visakhapatnam Public Library.
The programme will be inaugurated by Telugu writer Kalipatnam Ramarao and the session will be chaired by noted Assamese writer Lakshmi Nandan Bora.
P Adeswara Rao, Hindi and Telugu writer, will be the guest of honour while K Siva Reddy, convener, Telugu Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, will deliver the introductory remarks.
K Sreenivasarao, secretary, Sahitya Akademi, will deliver the welcome address at the inaugural session.
A poetry reading session by Northeast and Southern poets will held on the first day wherein Bipul Jyoti Saikia (Assamese), Ritu Raj Basumatary (Bodo) BR Lakshman Rao (Kannada) V Madhusoodanan Nair (Malalayam),
Thoudam Netrajit Singh (Manipuri), Abir Khaling (Nepali), Azhagirya Periyavan (Tamil), K.Sanjeeva Rao (Sikhamani) (Telugu) and Aslam Hassan (Urdu) will recite their poems.
The session on 'My World My Writing' will start at 2 pm wherein Gurumayum Bijoykumar Sharma (Manipuri) will participate.
This will be followed by the session on 'Poetry Reading' at 4 p.m.Jiban Narah (Assamese), Uthrisar Khungur Basumatary (Bodo), C Ravunny (Malayalam), Lenin Khumancha (Manipuri), Subash Sotang (Nepali), B Meenakshi Sundaram (Tamil), Perugu Ramakrishna (Telugu) and Siriki Swaminaidu (Telugu) will recite their poems.
The session on 'Short Story Reading' will be held on March 31. Bonti Senchowa (Assamese), S Diwakar (Kannada), Payipra Radhakrishnan (Malayalam), Heisnam
Budichandra Singh (Manipuri), Harish Moktan (Nepali), Subrabharathi Manian (Tamil) and Chintakindi Srinivasa Rao (Telugu) will read their short stories.
The second day's poetry reading session will see Kushal Dutta (Assamese), Sopna
Baglary (Bodo), HN Arathi (Kannada), R Sreelatha Varma (Malayalam), Imojeet Ningombam (Manipuri), Jogendra Darnal (Nepali), Thenmozhi Das (Tamil), Palamaneru Balaji (Telugu) and Balasudhakar Mouli (Telugu) recite their poems.
