Imphal, July 27 2015:
A public discussion on ILP was held on Sunday at Kshetrigao Junior High School Lampak.
Manipur Govt has not done enough to fulfill the people's demand of ILP, said JCILPS convener in-charge Kh Ratan at the discussion organised by the committee in association with civil society bodies of Muslim communities, AMMCOC, YOVA, YSSU, YADA, YFV, SWA, KMWWA, KALWDA, KMLMCDO and TYC.
If the ILP system is not implemented in the State at earliest, the indigenous communities of Manipur will be marginalized and deprived of their rights to exist, cautioned Ratan.

He further blamed the Government for discussing Indian Constitution instead of passing the Bill, which should be the priority at the moment.
Constitution can be amended on people's demand, he added.
Asking the reason for failure of pressuring on Central Govt over the issue, Ratan also wondered why the system has not been implemented in Manipur as enforced in neighbouring States like Mizoram, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, students, teaching staff and non-teaching staff of Goodwill Christian High School, Yaingangpokpi strongly condemned the killing of Sapam Ronbinhood by State Police personnel during a protest demanding implementation of ILP system in Manipur on July 8 .
The school also demanded the State Government to immediately implement the Inner Line Permit System to safeguard indigenous communities of Manipur.
Model Club and Chingamakha Apunba Nupi Lamjing Lup also staged a sit-in protest on Monday demanding implementation of ILP system in Manipur at the earliest.
Demanding resignation of all the MLAs for their failure bat for the implementation of ILPS, the participants also vowed to extend their full support to the ongoing movement till the end.
Meanwhile, the Medical Help Line for ILP Movement on Sunday provided financial assistance to four injured persons.
The help line further informed all to contact 9774836063 for any help.
