Minister Ranjan exhorts BJP workers

An executive committee meeting of BJP Imphal West district held at Manipur Science Centre, Takyel on Friday has reaffirmed the resolutions adopted by the party's state executive meeting held on June 15 and 16 in Kangpokpi.
Addressing the gathering, health and family welfare minister Dr Sapam Ranjan called upon the party members to work towards bringing a better Manipur while following the path of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikash, Sabka Viswash and Sabka Prayas.
He recalled his visit to Gujarat and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and said that during the visit to Andaman and Nicobar Islands, he had a lengthy talk about the history of Manipur with the lieutenant governor and he appreciated the initiative of the state government to promote the history to the global platform.
The minister also spoke about resolutions adopted in the state executive including lifting of AFSPA from the state; intensifying war against drugs; anti-corruption drive; hiking old age pension amount; improving tourism infrastructure, fight against climate change among others.
The minister stressed the need for public cooperation in making the war against drugs campaign a success in order to protect the society from the impact of drug menace.
Langthabal MLA Karam Shyam, ex-MLA O Lukhoi and other party leaders also attended Friday's meeting.
