Sit in staged at Kumbi

Denouncing the alleged effort to establish a private school at the campus of Kumbi Awang Khunou Aided Primary School and Kumbi Awang High School under Kumbi Municipal Council by abolishing them, guardians of the appealed the State Government to intervene and solve the issue at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons during a sit-in protest staged in front of the school's gate, today, one of the guardians said that both the Primary and High Schools have been manned by only one committee since establishment on January 1, 1960.Claiming that retd Headmaster of the school, Kh Devendra attempted to establish a private school in the campus by conspiring with two retd Headmasters by forming a committee in 2018, he further alleged that majority of the furniture from the school have also been taken away from the primary school.
Saying that lodging in some of the school's rooms day and night by the members of the committee headed by Devendra has caused untold inconvenience in conducting classes, the protester further appealed the State Government to do the needful at the earliest.
In the demonstration, " Don't touch school property" and "retd Headmaster Kh Devendra is not welcomed in the school campus" were used by the protesters among others.
