7 day NSS camp held

Imphal, May 16 2018:
A 7 day NSS camp was held from May 8 and concluded on May 15.The camp was organised by NSS Unit -1, II and III with 50 students each.
During the camp, the volunteers planted more than 100 saplings inside the school campus under the theme Green School.
They further conducted social service inside the school and Kangla fort.
Resource persons, Dr Dhanabir Laishram, Dr Chinglen Maisnam and Dr Ratimanjuri talked about time management, crimes against women and balanced diet.
A yoga and martial arts demonstration was also held to encourage self defence.
A team from the State Red Cross demonstrated first aid during the camp.
Dr Bimol (I/E NSS co-ordinator) talked about the benefits of blood donation, both to the donor and recipient.
The camp was inaugarated by Seinthag Lenthang, State NSS officer, and K Sanaton Sharma, district NSS co-ordinator as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
