Kangpokpi, December 12 2015 :
Directing all schools located in the entire hill districts of Manipur to adhere to the directive issued by Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) and All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) to put on hold the submission of HSLC Examination 2016 application forms, Hill Districts Private Schools' Association Manipur (HiDIPSAM) on Saturday reiterated its support and cooperation to the ongoing protest of the organisations over MIL and Additional English issue.
Seikhojam Kipgen, General Secretary of HiDIPSAM stated that the issue was not new as the association had already submitted memorandum to the BoSEM in November, 2013 which remained unnoticed by the board.
He said the Government was also apprised after submitting a memorandum to the Chief Minister, Education Minister, etc., through DCs of all hill districts after a massive rally was taken out in all the hills district headquarters in November 2015 .
"It is important for all the school principals of hill districts to understand the importance of the issue on hand and extend maximum support to the two students' bodies", stated Seikhojam Kipgen, He added that it is also "very sad" to observe the BOSEM's insensitiveness towards the problems faced by the hill districts schools and students when it comes to the freedom of choice of subject.
HiDIPSAM has made its point clear that "until the hour when the dream of students' freedom is achieved, we will stand behind the two student bodies" .
