AMCTA urges

The All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMCTA) has submitted a memorandum to the Governor and the Chief Minister urging for immediate intervention and a solution to the imbroglio at Manipur University due to the ongoing agitation launched by Manipur University Students Association (MUSU), Manipur University Teachers Association (MUTA) and Manipur University Staff Association (MUTA) demanding the resignation of VC Professor Adya Prasad Pandey.
According to a press release issued by the joint secretary publicity of AMCTA, the memo urged immediate intervention of the Governor and the Chief Minister as the present situation at the university has seriously affected the academic atmosphere both at MU and the colleges affiliated to it for more than a month.
The results of the BA, BSc/BCom sixth semester examinations have been much delayed due to the ongoing crisis and it has affected the students who are desirous of higher studies at other universities and the admission processes in the colleges have been hampered as well.
It urged the Governor and the CM to bring an amicable solution at the earliest in the interest of the students and the higher education of Manipur.
