BJP celebrates 38th foundation day at Bpr, Tbl

BJP Moirang Mandal and BJP Nambol Mandal today celebrated 38th foundation day of the National party BJP at their respective constituencies in Bishnupur district.
BJP Moirang Mandal celebrated the day at Modi Bhavan at the premises of the local MLA P Sharatchandra Singh.
MLA P Sharatchandra, Chairperson Moirang Municipal Council M Romibala Devi, president BJP Moirang Mandal and BJP Councillors and other important members of the party attended the foundation day celebration.
During the event, the MLA presented pension books to 100 aged persons who have not yet availed State sponsored old age pension.

The pension is solely funded by the MLA himself and carries a sum of Rs 200 per month, report our correspondent.
BJP Nambol Mandal celebrated the foundation day at the Public Theatre in Nambol Chingmang.
Former Union Minister Th Chaoba Singh, president BJP Nambol Mandal S Brajamani Singh, State vice president BJP Manipur Pradesh Th Basanta Singh, Chairperson Nambol Municipal Council Ch Basanta Singh and Councillors, ZP members and Pradhans attended the event.
Thoubal district also observed its 38th foundation day where Education Minister Th Radheshyam hoisted the party flag at the district party office.
Dignitaries paid floral tributes to the party leaders and spoke about the history of the party and its evolution including the formation of Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1951, evolution to Janata party in 1977 and development of Bharatiya Janata Party on April 6, 1980 .
Speaking on the occasion, Th Radheshyam, said it is commendable and laudable that BJP has taken up and introduced numerous projects, welfare schemes etc for the benefit of youth, poor and underprivileged section of the society.
People should continue to extend their support and cooperation to the party, he added.
BJP Manipur State secretary, L Tejkumar, District party president L Deben and other party members were present in the occasion.
The foundation day was also celebrated at Khangabok, Lilong, Wangkhem, Heirok, Thoubal and Wangjing Tentha, reports our correspondent.
