Imphal, November 05 2014:
The hearing in the tribunal case involving five MSCP MLAs that attracts disqualification was on Wednesday adjourned by the Speaker after the counsels appearing for the legislators sought some more days to submit documents related to the case.
Speaker Th Lokeswar adjourned the hearing and fixed it for November 25 following the request from the counsels.
The Speaker's tribunal recently began the proceeding against the five MLAs of Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) after party president Adim Panmei filed a petition in the tribunal against them seeking their disqualification from MLAship for indulging in anti-party activities.
The five MLAs-Nemcha Kipgen, RK Imo, P Brojen, Zanghelung Panmei and K Thamarjit-joined the ruling state Congress recently claiming MSCP organisation had been closed down.
