Sources said that (L) Haridas was admitted to the Rehabilitation Centre on April 1 in the morning, however the family members were informed by the Centre that he (Haridas) died at District Hospital, Churachandpur in the same evening.
The death body was then sent to RIMS Morgue for post mortem in the same night.
One of the protestors, while speaking to the media persons, said that family members of (L) Haridas and villagers got suspicious when they found wound marks all over the body.
The public then demanded to perform another round of post mortem to confirm the cause of the death alleging that (L) Haridas was beaten to death at the Centre, it added.
However, their demand to perform post mortem was not done till yesterday which has compelled the public of the area to resort to road block at Tiddim road today in the morning, the protestor maintained and urged the authority concerned and police department to initiate inquiry into the matter.
