Last rites of Sapam Robinhood on Sept 3

Imphal, September 01 2015:
The mortal remains of Sapam Robinhood will be consigned to flames on September 3 and after that all educational institutes will be re-opened, the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) and State Government agreed on Tuesday.
A six-point agreement was signed between the representatives of JCILPS and the Government during the fifth round of talks here on Tuesday.
The agreement said a complex be reserved where the funeral rites of late Sapam Robinhood could be performed on September 3 .
The Government of Manipur will provide all financial and logistic support to develop the complex where Robinhood will be cremated.
The agreement said there will be no victimization on any person involved in the movement on Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) .
It was also agreed that all persons who were injured during the course of the movement would be provided financial assistance by the State Government.
Re-opening of all educational institutes will take place after the last rites of Sapam Robinhood is performed.
Once all the conditions of the agreements are fulfilled, all forms of agitation will be suspended.
The agreement was signed by Special Secretary (Home) M Yaiskul representing the Government while JCILPS co-convenor in-charge Kh Ratan and the JAC against the Brutal Killing of Sapam Robinhood chairman Ch Hemchand appended the agreement on behalf of the Joint Committee and JAC respectively.
The Protection of Manipur People Bill, 2015 is meant for all the indigenous peoples of the State, reiterated Kh Ratan while speaking to media persons after the meeting.
The State Assembly on Monday unanimously passed the Protection of Manipur People Bill, 2015, the Manipur Land Revenues and Land Reforms (7th amendment) Bill, 2015 and the Manipur Shops and Establishments (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015 .
Altogether 17 JCILPS representatives attended the meeting while the State Government team was led by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam and Council of Ministers.
