Imphal, July 01 2013:
Reacting against the decision of the State Cabinet over non-relaxation in the age limit of candidates who are to appear in the Civil Service Examination conducted by the MPSC, All Manipur Students Union (AMSU) has appealed to re-consider the decision of the State Cabinet in the interest of the intending candidates.
The upper age limit prescribed for appearing in the State Civil Service examination is 30 years while the lower age limit is 21 years.
Talking to media persons in this regard at its office here today, HRD Secretary of AMSU Sanjit Sarangthem, stated that the decision of the State cabinet not to give relaxation to the age limit of candidates appearing in the State Civil Service Examination is indeed unfortunate and it should be revoked in the interest of the candidates who are preparing to appear in the said recruitment examination.
The student leader pointed out that other States like Bihar and Haryana, every individual up to the age of 40 years are illegible to appear in the Civil
Service Examination.
