AR organises medical camp

Units of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organized free medical camp at Kakyai village in Nambol and health awareness drive at Khamran village of Imphal East, said PRO IGAR (South).
Responding to the medical requirements of local populace projected during the last security meet, the medical cum health awareness camp was organised by Nambol Company Operating Base (COB) of Tulihal Battalion.
Over 200 locals from Kakyai and neighbouring villages were provided with free medical treatment, consultation on various diseases and health related issues as well as free medicines were distributed to the needy patients by the unit medical team under the Regimental Medical Officer, said AR .
A lecture cum interactive session was also conducted as part of the camp to enlighten the villagers about basic healthcare including precautions against common viral diseases as well as importance of hygiene and sanitation for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
As part of the health awareness drive, a lecture cum interactive session was organised by the Koirengei COB of Mantripukhri Battalion at Khamran Primary School.
The lecture was organised to spread awareness on the importance of good health and hygiene and further encourage efforts to keep our environment clean.
