Imphal, April 25 2019:
Pangambam Sagei Seva Committee, Shree Shree Govindajee Janmasthan Kaina president Pangambam Tomba has clarified that the structure inside Kaina temple is not any other structure but one dedicated to Shree Govindajee.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Tomba said that the claims made by some individuals that a structure of Pangambam has been built inside the temple and the people are praying at the said structure, are false as the structure is none other than a sacred part of the temple.
He explained that the temple was donated by a late member of the Pangambam family, P Tomba Singh, as the Shree Shree Govindajee structure needed protection from the weather elements.
This was not built in the name of the Pangambam clan, he clarified.
He then appealed to all those concerned not to obstruct or create disturbance to anyone who come to the temple to pray to Shree Shree Govindajee.
He then explained that Shree Shree Govindajee Kaina began its sacred journey after it was started under the director of Maharaj Bheigyachandra by Pangambam Sangei Seva Committee in 1796 .
This is also mentioned clearly in the 129th page of the Cheitharol Kumbaba, he added.
The temple is also one which is undergoing renovation and repairing, through the Tourism Department, he added.
As the renovation follows the guidelines of the Archeological and Monument Act, none of the sacred places or areas near the temple will not be harmed, he said.
