Health checkup conducted celebrating Ayushman Pakhwara at Thoubal Bazar

Thoubal, September 19 2019: Celebrating Ayushman Pakhwara, doctors visited Thoubal bazar and conducted health checkup of women vendors Thursday.

The campaign under the aegis of District Health Society Thoubal was jointly organised by NCD Thoubal, NCD Clinic DH Thoubal, National Leprosy Elimination Programme, Revised TB Control Programme, UPHC Thoubal, UPHC Phouden, CHOs Health and Wellness Centre and Lions Club Thoubal Greater Centurion.

Various medical tests were conducted and the women vendors were provided medicines for free during the programme.

They were also given awareness on Pradhan Mantri Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and Health and Wellness Centre.

Speaking on the sideline of the event, National Health Mission (NHM) Thoubal DPM Ch Basanta said that the Ayushman Pakhwara will be celebrated till September 30 highlighting the various benefits of the PMJAY and Health and Wellness Centre schemes.

The celebration was kicked off from September 15 Nationwide.

Celebrating one year of the schemes, health camps will be held on September 23 at the District Hospital, CHCs, PHCs and Health & Wellness Centres in the district, he said.
