CM invites JDDC; ADC Sadar Hills to meet National leaders

Imphal, August 11 2011:
The State Chief Minister O Ibobi has invited the leaders of Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) to discuss the demand of the committee to form a full-fledged district.
Meanwhile, JDDC has called a general body meeting tomorrow at Jiribam to discuss the proposal of dialog from the side of the state government.
Convener, JDDC Maipaksana told reporters that the state CM has proposed the JDDC to hold a dialog on August 24 to discuss its demand.
A general body meeting of the committee which has been scheduled to be held tomorrow will discuss the proposal of the CM.
Further steps to be taken up will be based on the resolutions taken by the meeting.
However the proposed general strike of the committee on the NH 37 from August 14 to 30 will remain unchanged.
Meanwhile, ADC members of Sadar Hills today met at the residence of Ex MLA C Doungel and discussed the prevailing situation of the district demand by the SHDDC.
The meeting resolved to meet national leaders regarding the demand of a full-fledged district of Sadar Hills and press them for their intervention into the matter.
