Two more test Covid-19 positive, 10 discharged

Imphal, September 06 2022:
The state on Tuesday reported two new positive cases of Covid-19 from two districts, out of 286 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, showing a positivity rate of 0.7 per cent.
The two fresh cases (1 male & 1 female) are residents of Imphal West (1) and Churachandpur (1) districts.
Tuesday also reported 10 recoveries following which the number of active cases came down to 54 out of which 36 .
are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Tuesday and the toll from the pandemic stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus had infected 1,39,744 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 31 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 61 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 44 D-type and 12 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities arid 1633 vaccine doses administered on Monday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,34,176, out of which 13,08,803 had received the second dose and 2,50,130 had tak en precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in differ ent districts are Imphal West (49795), Imphal East (32023), Thoubal (10290), Churachandpur (11277), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9975), Senapati (2545), Ukhrul (3363), Kakching (6973), Chandel (2792), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053), and Pherzawl (476) .
