Union submits memorandum to CM

All Manipur Mid Day Meal Workers' Union has submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister N Biren Singh containing demands including increment of monthly honorarium of the workers.
The memorandum was submitted during a meeting of the union representatives with the Chief Minister.
Union president Sanasam Mainou, vice president Maibam Jamuna, general secretary Arambam Thoi Chanu, treasurer Kangjam Ibemcha and joint secretary Nongthombam Aruna represented the mid day meal workers, said a statement of the All Manipur Mid Day Meal Workers' Union.
In the memorandum, the union urged the Government not to downsize workers in aggregation of schools.
The memorandum also includes demands for social security, paid maternity leave and a separate administration for mid day meal, timely and adequate supply of nutritious mid day meal materials and PDS shops in every village etc.
The CM gave assurance to work on the demands, said the union.
