CM Biren, BJP condole demise of PM Modi's mother

Chief Minister N Biren and BJP Manipur Pradesh A Sharda Devi have expressed their deepest condolences over the demise of Heeraben Modi, the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who passed away on Friday morning, and offered floral tributes to her portrait at Thambal Shanglen, Keishampat, here.
The solemn function was also attended by ministers Th Biswajit, L Susindro and Heikham Dingo, MLA Md Ashab Uddin, BJP Manipur Pradesh secretary (organisation) Abhay Giri, Wangoi ex-MLA O Lukhoi and other office bearers and workers of the party.
A two-minute silence was also observed by the gathering as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Biren described PM Modi as one of a kind leader.
Although he (Modi) was in grief over the demise of his mother, he talked with the chief ministers of different states with regard to funeral and did not postpone any of his programmes/schedules.
Just as Napolean said, "Give me a good mother and I shall give you a great nation!", PM Modi was blessed with a good mother, which is the fortune of the world, Biren said.
The CM continued that nations all over the world believe in PM Modi's vision whether it is regarding COVID-19 pandemic, Russia-Ukraine conflict or other global issues.
Thus, it is a sad moment for the world and the people of India to witness the death of mother of such a great leader, Biren remarked and prayed for mother Heeraben's soul to rest in peace.
In her speech, Sharda Devi said that Heeraben Modi played a huge role in the upbringing of her 5 sons and 1 daughter.
She (Heeraben) gifted the world with a great leader like PM Modi and made all parents, especially those working small jobs like selling tea to educate their children, proud.
