"Crash but Alive" to be presented at National Mime Festival

A mime act titled "Crash but Alive" has been presented by artists of the Kanglei Mime Theatre Repertory of Moirangkhom on November 29 at the Hall of National Mime Festival which is being held at EZCC Hall at Kolkata, a release said.
The festival which has been organized by the Indian Mime Theatre Kolkata sponsored by Ministry of Culture, co-sponsored by EZCC of Kolkata is also featuring a "Mime Stick Dance" by the group.
The mime act directed by Dr Y Sadananda will be performed at Shantiniketan on December 5, stated the release.
Y Sadananda expressed the need of a centrally recognized institute in Manipur to accommodate indigenous performing arts of the state, stating that earlier a representation was also sent to the Cultural Ministry in June.
Research studies on Pena, Khunung-Ishei, Thang-ta and other indigenous sports and performing arts of Manipur may be made possible, if one such institute is established in the state, he said.
