Free medical camp held at Jiri

Jiribam, August 29 2014 :
A free medical camp organized jointly by Life Line Society, Jiribam and 27th Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ Sect.
IGAR (east) was held at the complex of Echel Club at Dibong in Jiribam today.
During the camp conducted from 10 am to 3 pm today, 6 doctors provided treatment to 265 patients for various diseases including dental ailments.
Besides screening for HIV and Malaria, the camp assisted by Community Health Centre, Jiribam and Child Welfare Ashram, Jiribam also provided free medicines to the attendees.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Camp, President of Life Line Society, Jiribam Th.Ratan Sing drew the attention of the concerned authority for organizing Mega Free Medical Camps in Jiribam.
Situated 222 km away from the district headquarters of Imphal east district, Jiribam lacks in medical facilities including doctors, he added.
