NE dirtied by Cong: Ch Chidananda

National BJYM leader Ch Chidananda Singh on Thursday accused the Congress of turning the Northeast into a "trash site" during its 60 years of rule.
Addressing media at Manipur Press Club here, Ch Chidananda, National Executive, BJYM in-charge, Nagaland, added that a meeting of the youth wing of BJP held on February 27 last seriously deliberated on development policies of the Northeast.
He said development aspect of the Northeast region had not given priority when Congress ruled the country for decades.
Chidananda said the region faces severe shortage of water.
The BJYM leader hailed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi headed NDA Government at the Centre for putting in efforts to bring development in the region.
Modi is regularly sending Union Ministers to the region to directly oversee problems, he said and thanked the people for appreciating the BJP which has been taking up major development programmes for them.
Launching an attack on the Congress Government headed by Chief Minister O Ibobi, Chidananda said the State Government is trying to sideline all development policies undertaken by the BJP Government.
